Meindl's Best Selling Go-Anywhere Uninsulated Hunting Boot
Thanks to an innovative boot-within-a-boot design, these high-country mountain hunting boots wrap your feet stabilizing comfort. Inside the full grain nubuck leather uppers, MFS Vakuum foam panels form to the shape of your feet, ensuring a perfect fit without uncomfortably tights pressure points common in lesser-made technical boots. Special stretch Gore-Tex, waterproof linings do away with standard heal seams, eliminating yet another potential blister-forming hot spot. Between the Air-Active insoles and gripping Vibram Alpin outsoles, polyurethane midsoles push you through each step while allowing for the addition of soft crampons. Also available in a women's style Lady Vakuum® GTX. Made in Germany
Made with PFAS chemicals

"Vakuum Hunter boots will carry you to the top of the mountain in all but the most difficult terrain. While the stiff uppers provide maximum ankle support when climbing, the inner reticulated foam booties deliver a solid, foot-gripping fit and feel for comfort and stability. Uninsulated, yet fully waterproof, they’re a solid choice for high-country hunts that could take you well past the timberline and into the rocks above."

This is my 3rd pair of Meindl boots! Really like the placement of the speed laces so that I can get them on easily. No break-in period for them to be comfortable. So happy to be able to find them again since many retailers don't stock them.
I wanted to purchase a top end pair of boots to walk in the woods. And I wanted boots that are taller than my current ankle top synthetic boots. Lastly, I wanted them to be waterproof. I spent a lot of time researching various brands, but ultimately decided on the Meindl brand. With imput from the Meindl staff, I chose the Vakuum Hunter. At this point, all I can remark on is my initial experience. Craftsmanship seems excellent. Initial comfort is great. I've been wearing the boots to break them in, and have had no problems. There is no doubt in my mind that these boots will ultimately be the best pair of boots I've ever had.
My second pair of Meindl hunter boots. First pair was over 30 years...still good but soles fell off 2 years ago. Never leaked, always comfortable, very supportive.
Highly recommend.
Very comfortable and very good quality boots.
Over and over the best for many years.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
