"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."
My boots are superb. Heck, I bought 2 pairs!
I got my first pair of Meindl ******* Hikers over 20 years ago. I thought they were expensive until I found out how comfortable they were and how long they would last. My last pair is showing its age after 15 years of hiking, hunting, and cutting firewood. I was disappointed to find out the ******* Hiker has been discontinued but decided to try a pair of Comfort Fit Hikers. They fit comfortably out of the box. They feel a little stiffer than my well-worn hikers, but I think they will get better with time. Assuming they will be the equal of my ******* Hikers I will continue to wear Meindls as long as I can walk.
Well made and of high quality material. Comfortable fit and expect it to last for a long time.
These are the shoes I wear for anything and everything all day everyday! I’ve been wearing Meindl for 14-15 years now. My hunting boots are the taller version of these. They keep my feet comfortable, warm & dry; even in Alaska’s subzero winters!
Outstanding order process on an outstanding product. This is my second pair.
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments. The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.
Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device. We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
