In partnership with German based technology company, the Meindl Perfect Fit App is designed to scan your foot using your own smartphone. By taking a few simple images, the app generates a highly accurate size recommendation based on your unique foot scan.

The app doesn't just look at length; it compares your scan to Meindl’s proprietary lasts. Whether the app recommends our Comfort Fit® last, which offers a wider, more anatomical fit in the toe box, or a boot built on our Standard Fit last for an athletic, snug feel, you can trust that the recommendation is tailored specifically to you.

Expert Sizing Tips for the Best Results

To ensure the Perfect Fit App gives you the most accurate data, keep these tips in mind while using the app:

Time Your Scan: Your feet naturally swell throughout the day. For the most accurate representation of how your boots will feel during a long trek, we recommend using the app in the afternoon or evening.
Trust the Last: Remember that Meindl offers different internal volumes. The app is programmed to know which models run "roomy" and which run "standard," so trust the sizing provided after your scan.
Account for the Descent: A proper fit means your toes shouldn't hit the front of the boot while walking downhill. The app’s scanning technology accounts for this necessary "wiggle room" to keep your feet pain-free.

While the Perfect Fit App is our most advanced tool, we understand that some may prefer traditional measuring or may not have access to the app. In these cases, we strongly recommend using the tried and trusted Brannock device.

How to get an Accurate Brannock Measurement

Visit a Local Store: Most footwear or sporting goods stores have a professional Brannock device available for public use.

Pro-Tips for Brannock Measuring

Measure Both Feet: It is common to have one foot slightly larger than the other. Always choose your boot size based on the larger foot.
Measure for Three Dimensions: Don’t just look at the heel-to-toe length. Be sure to note your width and arch length (heel-to-ball). If your arch length is larger than your heel-to-toe length, fit to the arch size to ensure the boot flexes where your foot does.
Wear Your Socks: Just like with our app, be sure to stand on the device while wearing the specific hunting or hiking socks you intend to use in the field.

Ordering Your Size

Once you have the length and width of your longest and widest foot please follow the sizing guidance provided on each boot’s product page, which is commonly to order half a size smaller than your Brannock size. In some cases, the direction will be to order to a whole size smaller.
