Women hunters and hikers deserve boots that perform in every condition, without sacrificing fit and feel. Thanks to Meindl’s exclusive MFS Vakuum technology, these mountain boots wrap the feet inside cushioning, comfortable foam panels for a perfect, pressure-free fit. Durable, nubuck leather uppers are backed by stretchable Gore-Tex linings that eliminate seams at the heels that could cause blisters. Air-Active insoles work with polyurethane midsoles to protect at every step. Vibram Multigriff outsoles deliver a sure grip, uphill or down. Also available in a men's style Vakuum® Hunter. "Proven performers designed for early to mid-season hunts that take hunters from open fields up into the dark timber. Mid-high uppers provide good ankle support, yet don’t pinch or bite, even when cinched tight, thanks to the inner MFS Vakuum foam booties. The result, one of the most comfortable, hardcore hunting boots available for women today."
I work as a wildlife biologist and wear these boots day in, day out. I also wear them on the weekends for hunting. I’ve worn Danners and Kenetreks, but these are the best by far. I have ankle stability issues and originally was concerned about the boot height being too short to provide support. I was wrong. With a properly designed and built boot, height is a non-issue. These boots are super light and durable. I can get 2 years with these boots before the outer rand starts to crack and the sole becomes compressed. My only complaint is that this model comes only in uninsulated. I’d love to have a pair for winter use - sitting in tree stands deer hunting or in blinds trapping turkeys for research. Maybe one day! You can’t go wrong with these boots! I highly recommend. I’ll be purchasing my third pair this year.
Good service and great boots
Boots are ridiculously comfortable. Did not have to break them in at all. Plus the company was quick to thoroughly respond to a question I had.
New favorite field boots/brands.
These boots are very comfortable and well built right out of the box! I'm normally an 8.5 in boots and bought an 8 in these and they fit perfect. I am a Ranger so I am on my feet hiking all day and these boots are great. I have also worn these hiking mountains in the Adirondacks and I will only be buying Meindl boots from now on! The only issue that I have had with these boots is summers in NY when its 90+ degrees my feet boil in them, but other than that I have no issues with these! Highly recommend!!
These boots are fantastic. I got them for hunting in Idaho, and didn't really get a chance to break them in before elk hunting this fall (prior to the elk trip, I had only worn them once for like 2 miles pheasant hunting). I was a little worried about how my feet would do, so I brought backup boots. Happy to say the backup boots never saw the light of day. The first day we hiked 14 miles and 3,000 feet of elevation and my feet felt great. Day 2, another 14 miles and 3,100 ft of elevation. Again, happy feet. I wore them all week and they were comfortable and still look practically brand new. As far as sizing goes, I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes (8.5 in my running shoes). I tried these in both an 8 and 8.5. The 8.5 were way too big and the 8 fits well, leaving me nice room in the toes for steep hikes downhill. Can't recommend these enough!
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
