Meindl Kibo GTX Hunter 300 delivers our greatest cold-weather protection for hunts that take you where extreme cold and snow are an everyday fact of life. These are the first boots in the U.S. to feature Gore AirFibre® 300 insulation. The construction and design of this insulation technology is ingenious! Positioned on the inside of the Gore-Tex® waterproof liner this breathable fleece insulation is comprised of 3D hollow synthetic fibers, allowing more room to efficiently trap more air on the inside of the boot without being affected by the elements. The 3D fiber design allows perspiration to easily escape from your boot and weighs 15% less than conventional insulation. The Kibo GTX Hunter 300 utilizes a full Gore AirFibre® booty construction, designed to provide added comfort and insulation directly under the foot along with Meindl’s Air Active Winter insoles. These insoles incorporate felt surfaces with aluminum layers to better distribute heat to your toes. End result, your feet stay dry, warm and comfortable with less weight on your feet on high-country hunts where every ounce counts.
Now comes the grit, the Kibo GTX Hunter is built with a durable 10”, 3 mm suede leather upper, wrapped with a full rubber rand at its base to protect against cuts and abrasions from rocky, unforgiving terrain. To keep you sure footed in all conditions this boot provides ample ankle support and stability with a B/C Flex-Use rating. Support to this degree will help you safely maneuver up, down, and across steep inclines with ease. Meindl has added their two-part multi-grip Rock Outsoles technology to help you maintain traction and walking comfort even in tough alpine conditions. Here's how it works! The outer perimeter of the sole is made of grippy, abrasion-resistant rubber with a flexible but sharp-edged tread while the inner portion features imbedded aluminum shards for additional grip and durability as well as multi-directional self-cleaning tread profile that helps ensure a no-slip grip on slick, rocky, wintery surfaces.
Lace on Meindl’s Kibo GTX Hunter 300 for high-country hunts for sheep, goats, or elk, or any adventure that demands peak performance in extreme conditions. Made in Slovenia
"Serious high-country hunts demand peak performance from both man and his gear. Whether your postholing through December’s snowy dark timber for a last-minute elk or climbing into the clouds after spiral-horned sheep and ivory mountain goats, you can count on the Kibos to get you there and back."

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
