With its suede and mesh upper, these hiking boots strike the right balance between durability and breathability, making them a versatile choice for both light hiking and everyday trail use. A Gore-Tex® waterproof liner keeps your feet dry in wet conditions while still allowing moisture to escape, ensuring lasting comfort through changing weather. Inside, the Air-Active insole helps manage moisture and enhances cushioning, supporting long-lasting comfort on extended outings. Built on A Flex-Use platform, these hiking boots are designed to adapt naturally to both hiking and walking environments, offering a smooth transition between paved paths and off-road terrain. At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
