Review Meindl's size guide below to identify the correct size of boot for your feet.

Meindl's Warmest Insulated Hunting Boot for the Coldest Conditions

Meindl Kibo GTX Hunter 300 delivers our greatest cold-weather protection for hunts that take you where extreme cold and snow are an everyday fact of life. These are the first boots in the U.S. to feature Gore AirFibre® 300 insulation. The construction and design of this insulation technology is ingenious! Positioned on the inside of the Gore-Tex® waterproof liner this breathable fleece insulation is comprised of 3D hollow synthetic fibers, allowing more room to efficiently trap more air on the inside of the boot without being affected by the elements. The 3D fiber design allows perspiration to easily escape from your boot and weighs 15% less than conventional insulation. The Kibo GTX Hunter 300 utilizes a full Gore AirFibre® booty construction, designed to provide added comfort and insulation directly under the foot along with Meindl’s Air Active Winter insoles. These insoles incorporate felt surfaces with aluminum layers to better distribute heat to your toes. End result, your feet stay dry, warm and comfortable with less weight on your feet on high-country hunts where every ounce counts.

Now comes the grit, the Kibo GTX Hunter is built with a durable 10”, 3 mm suede leather upper, wrapped with a full rubber rand at its base to protect against cuts and abrasions from rocky, unforgiving terrain. To keep you sure footed in all conditions this boot provides ample ankle support and stability with a B/C Flex-Use rating. Support to this degree will help you safely maneuver up, down, and across steep inclines with ease. Meindl has added their two-part multi-grip Rock Outsoles technology to help you maintain traction and walking comfort even in tough alpine conditions. Here's how it works! The outer perimeter of the sole is made of grippy, abrasion-resistant rubber with a flexible but sharp-edged tread while the inner portion features imbedded aluminum shards for additional grip and durability as well as multi-directional self-cleaning tread profile that helps ensure a no-slip grip on slick, rocky, wintery surfaces.

Lace on Meindl’s Kibo GTX Hunter 300 for high-country hunts for sheep, goats, or elk, or any adventure that demands peak performance in extreme conditions. Made in Slovenia

"Serious high-country hunts demand peak performance from both man and his gear. Whether your postholing through December’s snowy dark timber for a last-minute elk or climbing into the clouds after spiral-horned sheep and ivory mountain goats, you can count on the Kibos to get you there and back."

    Must have cold weather boot

Fantastic boot. A bit loose with the original air insole, but replaced it with the cork insole of my 20 year old perfect hunters and it was a Cinderella story! Hunted badlands all day in 20 degree weather with snow & wind with no added toe warmer.

    I Like Them

This might be a little early to write a review, but doing it any way.

I received these five days ago and have about ten miles on them so far. Main purpose of these is for deer/big game hunting in the North Dakota Badlands and in old strip mines that have been transitioned to Wildlife Management Areas.

Both the badlands and the mines have very steep up and down terrain made up of a little top soil (very little) and clay so they get can get slick when wet and slippery when frozen.

My Crispi West River boots are great for upland hunting but terrible for traversing steep slopes. I slid down many side hills on my **** or on my side. Not fun.

The Meindl rep recommended the Kibo for a good sole and for the stiffness/support.

I’ve spent the last two days hunting in a mine, lots of side hilling and billy goating up and down. Haven’t slid down the hills/spoil piles yet. For the most part have felt very secure on the side slopes even with a covering of 2-3” of snow.

Ground is frozen, so am able to test that portion, but this morning it did warm to above freezing which resulted in greasy clay on surface. The boots grabbed no problem. My toes did start to feel cool this morning - though I did sit in the snow for almost two hours (15 F) watching a trail.

Only thing I’m not sure if I like it is the lower lace lock - 4th eyelet locks so your toe box, stays tight. Probably a good idea that will just taking some getting used to.

Overall - great boot. I like them.

They Kept My Feet Warm in the Tian Shan Mountains

I am one of those unfortunate people that "run cold" . . especially my feet and hands.

With a November hunt in Kyrgyzstan looming, I wanted the warmest mountain boots I could find.

I compared the warmest boots offered by the big five hunting boot makers (not to mention names, but they start with the letter K, L, S, Z, and of course Meindl).

I decided to go with the Meindl Kibo GTX Hunter 300, and hunting as high as 12,800 feet (~3,900meters) in the Tian Shan mountains my feet were never cold.

I took along chemical toe-warmers but never needed them!

Equally important was traction, as many times a slip could have had fatal consequences, and it's not an exaggeration to say these boots were a lifesaver!

    Outstanding cold weather hunting boot!

I recently purchased these for hunting in the badlands of ND during November. The conditions were cold (0-30 degrees F) with about 6 inches of snow. In addition, the terrain is rough and variable. These boots were outstanding! I did not need to wear toe warmers, and my feet stayed comfortable all day. I put about 50 miles on these boots over the week and had no issues with hot spots or blisters. The only thing that I would mention is that I replaced the insole with Meindl's cork insole and would highly recommend doing this. This is my second pair of Meidl boots (the first is a pair of Perfect Hunters which they no longer make but have been treating me well for over a decade).
