Waterproof, Vibram-gripped, and precisely fitted with Variofix lacing, this is a women's trail shoe engineered for performance.

Vibram® outsole delivers aggressive, reliable traction that technical trail use demands across wet rock, rooted terrain, and the challenging surfaces that serious trail hiking consistently involves. Variofix lacing provides precise, adjustable fit control across the foot, holding consistently through the fast movement and technical footwork that demanding trail terrain requires. Gore-Tex® waterproof lining provides all-weather trail protection across creek crossings, wet trail sections, and unexpected weather without adding bulk or compromising the lightweight feel.

At 4 inches on a standard last with an Air Active insole and handcrafted in Germany to Meindl's exacting standards, the Lady Literock Free Trail Shoe is the technical trail shoe for the woman who takes trail performance seriously and wants footwear built to match.

The Lady Literock Free Trail Shoe is built for light trail walking and hiking, designed to deliver a natural, flexible feel across mixed outdoor terrain. With a suede leather upper, it offers a soft, adaptive structure that moves easily with your stride. From the first step, expect immediate comfort with little to no break-in required.

Begin by wearing the shoe for short walks and everyday use to confirm fit and adjust lacing for a secure, balanced hold through the midfoot. This short familiarization period ensures the shoe settles naturally to your foot, as it is designed for an easy, ready-to-wear feel.

From there, transition directly into trail walking and light hiking over dirt paths, gravel, and uneven ground. The flexible construction and suede leather upper work together to provide a smooth, natural roll-through while maintaining comfort and breathability throughout the day.

Any initial stiffness is minimal and typically fades within the first few wears. The result is a lightweight trail shoe that feels comfortable immediately and continues to soften and adapt with consistent use on the trail.

Suede leather should be cared for regularly to maintain its soft texture, natural appearance, and long-term protection against moisture and wear. After use, allow the boots to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources, before any cleaning treatment is applied.

Once fully dry, use a soft brush to gently lift dirt and restore the surface texture, working evenly across the upper. This prepares the material for treatment while helping preserve the natural finish of the suede.

After cleaning, apply Meindl's suede leather conditioner & proofer evenly across the upper. Allow the product to sit for 24 hours to dry completely and absorb into the leather. The goal is even, light coverage that enhances protection without saturating or flattening the surface.

With regular care, suede maintains its soft structure, breathable feel, and natural look while staying protected through changing conditions and repeated wear.

Didn’t work for me & couldn’t return
I had high hopes for these shoes, but they did not work for me at all. I’ve never had a hiking shoe that caused as much pain in my feet as these did. I wore them inside for a while trying to break them in and then thought that maybe I needed to break them in on actual trails. That, unfortunately, didn’t work and caused me to not be eligible for a refund. Lesson learned to make sure to purchase something as important and expensive as boots from a company with a more lenient return policy.

Great shoe for all seasons.
Overall I am quite happy with these shoes plus The color is fantastic. I have a very narrow heel and have needed to make some adjustments with heel inserts to keep my heel from slipping. This is a common problem for me and I employ several tricks in most of my shoes. These are narrow enough through the instep and I really like them. Your service is exceptional and I have referred several people to you.
