MFS Vakuum® memory foam gradually molds to the precise shape of your foot over time, eliminating pressure points, reducing fatigue, and building a personalized fit that improves every time you lace up. No other boot fits quite like this.

At 7 inches with a full grain nubuck leather upper, the Lady MFS Vakuum Hiker is built tough enough for the terrain most people never see. Technical trail hiking. Off-trail mountain country. Early-season hunting where the ground is wet, the approach is long, and the boot needs to perform across all of it. B medium flex rating delivers the responsive support that varied terrain demands, and DiGAfix® lacing holds your heel firmly in place across steep descents and uneven ground.

Gore-Tex® waterproof lining handles wet conditions reliably across morning dew, creek crossings, and unexpected rain. The Vibram® outsole delivers the grip that technical hiking and hunting terrain demands on wet rock, rooted trail, and the mixed surfaces that serious outdoor use covers. Handcrafted in Germany on a standard last with an Air Active insole, the Lady MFS Vakuum Hiker is the women's all-terrain boot for the woman who pushes into demanding country and wants a boot that belongs there.

The Lady MFS Vakuum Hiker is built for versatile outdoor use, designed to perform as both a hiking boot and a light hunting boot. It delivers a secure, stable feel with supportive structure while still allowing natural movement over varied terrain. Expect a comfortable initial fit with a short, minimal break-in period typical for a structured hiking boot.

Begin by wearing the boots during shorter hikes or everyday use to confirm fit and allow the system to begin shaping to your foot. Adjust lacing to achieve a secure, balanced hold through the midfoot and ankle, ensuring proper heel lock and overall stability from the start.

From there, transition into longer hikes and light hunting use across uneven ground, mixed terrain, and moderate elevation changes. The boot is designed to progressively mold to your foot over early wear, with the upper construction and internal support adapting for improved comfort and fit.Constructed from durable nubuck leather, the boot will naturally soften and become more responsive as it breaks in.

Any initial firmness will ease within the first several uses, resulting in a supportive, high-performance hiking and light hunting boot that continues to improve in comfort with consistent wear in the field.

Nubuck leather benefits from consistent care to preserve its durability, breathable structure, and water-resistant performance over time. After use, allow the boots to dry naturally before removing surface dirt with a soft brush to keep the leather clean and ready for treatment.

Once prepared, apply the Meindl Wet Proof Spray evenly across the entire upper, ensuring full but light coverage so the treatment can absorb properly into the material. Allow the boots to dry completely before moving to the next step.

After drying, apply Meindl Sport Wax to the leather, tongue, and eyelets. Work the wax gently into the leather to reinforce protection while maintaining flexibility and comfort under movement.

This combination of spray and wax helps maintain the balance between weather resistance, breathability and long-term durability, keeping the leather performing consistently through regular use in varied conditions.

Lady MFS-Vakuum Hiker
Not sure yet. Prior Mendel boots lasted well. New boots are experiencing separation near the heel with the sole, after just a couple weeks of casual wear. Time to see Meindel service/repair.

Disappointed
This was the third pair of this boot that I have bought. The first pair was bought in Spain, and I'd never spent so much on a shoe, but I put them on and wore them for the rest of my trip, walking all over Barcelona. I had them resoled twice and then I bought a second pair from you, that you had to order from Germany. They got resoled once, and they were starting to get a little bit stiff and they needed a new sole, so I decided to buy a new pair. My first disappointment was that there were no ball bearings in the eyelets. Ok, not a biggie. I wore the boots around my house, they were comfortable, so I started wearing them on my daily walks (on dirt and paved roads for 2 miles). One spot on the top of my right foot was uncomfortable, but I kept wearing the boots hoping that the boot would start feeling better. Unfortunately that hasn't happened; it actually got a little worse. I wore another pair of shoes yesterday, and I will wait a few days before I put the boots back on. So, I am disappointed; clearly not just the eyelets have changed.
If you guys have any suggestions, let me know.

Meindl Sizing: Spot On or Too Snug?
followed their sizing guide to a T, but they feel a bit tight out of the box. The fit’s snug, especially around the toes—hoping they’ll break in. Quality seems solid, though, and they look ready for the trails. I’ll test them on a hike soon and see how they hold up. Fingers crossed the fit loosens up with some wear!"
