These uninsulated mountain hunting boots deliver with all-season alpine performance and protection starting from the ground up with our stiffest C-flex rated midsole. These soles feature Meindl’s Multigriff Vibram construction that creates a stable, secure platform on difficult terrain thanks to aggressive, multidirectional lugs. They also accommodate flexible crampons for serious climbs. Inside the full grain nubuck leather uppers are MFS foam panels that cradle the feet for the most comfortable fit you’ll find in a true alpine boot. Gore-Tex linings keep feet dry in extreme wet weather. Air-Active insole helps manage moisture and cushions against hard, rocky conditions. Made in Germany
"Treks above timberline demand serious footwear, yet hunters shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort on hunts that require lots of changes in elevation. With tall, stiff shafts and a full rubber rand surrounding the durable full grain nubuck leather uppers, the Glockner guards feet and ankles against off-trail hazards, uneven ground and loose, rocky terrain."
Very comfortable from the beginning. Plenty of room in the toe box. Just the right amount of stiffness and rock in the step.
First off I have owned many Meindl boots from the perfects , the logger lineman x3 and the comfort hunters and have loved the boots. The glockner boots are very comfortable but the rubber that protects the leather started peeling within two weeks of wearing them .

I gave the Glockners a real workout as a Wildland Firefighter and as an upland guide for Arizona quail. Absolutely the best pair of boots I have ever worn.
30 days and 120 miles later the 4620352684098 boots are perfect. I purchased these boots about a month ago to use on an Alaskan alpine hunt. I did the recommended break-in and then started my training to prepare for the hunt. I went 4 miles a day on steep rocky terrain with a pack on for thirty days to emulate the actual hunt. To me, the greatest attribute of the boots is the weight ratio to the stiffness of the boot. Thanks for a great product.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
