I’ve had two pairs of Meindl boots (medium weight and light weight). Both great. Last year I researched shoes and decided on the comfort walker which can be resoled. Have been wearing them daily since April Of last year and haven’t been disappointed. Now they need to be resoled and the shop recommended in the US by Meindl informs me that they can’t since the soles to repair the comfort walkers aren’t available in the US.

Bummer- not worth getting another pair ($270) for only a year of wear.

I bought these shoes in 2022. It is 2026. I wore these everyday for everything from work, to church, to hiking. Stayed comfortable till I literally wore through the black rubber sole. Used beeswax on the upper at least once a year depending on how it looked and felt. Loved these shoes. My only critique would be that the uppers will outperform the soles.

I have odd feet that are difficult to find the right shoes for (narrow in the heel and wide in the front). I also hike a lot, so I usually have trouble finding the right shoes. Stranded with bad shoes on a trip to the Cotswolds a few years ago, I discovered Meindl shoes. I bought a pair of low walkers, wore them around the world for a few years until they eventually gave out. I found them in the US, and the company was really helpful in addressing my specific issues before I purchased a pair of Comfort Fit Walkers. I bought them, now wear them everywhere, and they are great! Sturdy yet comfortable with plenty of support. They look great too!
