"Consider these your daily drivers. Whether you’re working around the yard or heading out for a hike, you can depend on them for a comfortable fit and casual appearance. Plus, they deliver on the trail as well, with flexible insoles and roomy toe box that doesn’t bind or bunch your feet heading uphill or down."

I bought a Meindl pair 1991 and hiked Icelandic mountains and higlands for 10 sommers and more. Outstanding boots , I still have them, kind of without soles and treat them as seniors. Have had others in the meantime , non lasting. Now visithing USA I could get a pair with me back home to Iceland sinch they are not to be found there, and this time it is the Light Hiker sinch my mountain tops are lowering . Thank you Meindl USA for your wide selection.
Purchased the Comfort Fit Light Hiker. My first pair of Meindl boots. I love them. Rugged yet light. Extremely comfortable. I can see myself as a long time customer.
Kinda a kick in the teeth I ordered a new pair and the day after I received them, I get an offer for 25 dollars off if I order now, I buy these shoes often so I try to keep 2 pairs around to alternate, I only get between a year and maybe 18 months out of them but as far as fit and comfort I don’t think anything is any better than the cork insole thats why I keep buying them. I know 25 bucks isn’t much on a 260 dollar pair of shoes but you’re marketing people have a twisted sense of humor or maybe just bad timing
These hikers feel and fit great. Very comfortable and appear to be well made as my other Meindl boots have been.
The only reason that I gave a 4 star review is that they are still new and I can not yet report on long term wear and durability. However, I do expect them to hold up well by what I can tell at this point.
These Boots are Great, this will be my third paired when I buy them.
Great boot for walking, working also very comfortable!

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
