These are the perfect insulated hunting boots to get you through the entire season, from opening day all the way to that first winter blizzard. The mid-height nubuck uppers provide plenty of ankle support for packing heavy loads, yet still flex with each step. Gore-Tex lined for 100% waterproof protection. Built on the Comfort Fit last, these boots have more room in the toebox, and cup the heels snugly for a near-custom fit and feel. Meindl’s exclusive cork footbeds mold to the hunter’s feet for custom support. Inside, 400-gram Primaloft Gold insulation wards off the chill. Vibram designed all-new, proprietary Multigrip 6.0 outsoles with aggressive, terrain-grabbing tread and improved lug design that keeps you upright on difficult descents. "If you’ve got a pocket full of tags, you’d be hard pressed to find a better boot for all your autumn endeavors. From stalking elk and muleys in the aspens to crossing sage flats in search of antelope, the Comfort Fit Hunters will keep you going day after day until that last license is punched. True workhorses, they’re likely to become your favorite pair of footwear no matter the season."
I hit the ground running (not literally) with these boots. My old ******* boots wore out after 10 years in the middle of my season. So, I had no breakin time on the new boots. Thank goodness they are as comfortable and ruggid as advertised. Unfortunately, I got them ****** from hauling a deer within 1 week of getting them. That’s the life of a hunting boot.
Just purchased my second pair of these boots, while evaluating their fit alongside similar boots from Zamberlan and Schnee's. For my feet, these were the best-fitting pair of the bunch and I was happy to return the others. While not as elegant as the Italian boots, the fit and finish are still top notch. I appreciate and trust the ruggedness of these boots; the addition of the rubber rand is a welcome upgrade from the previous version of the boots. And the Primaloft insulation is sufficient for hunting and work use here in the upper Midwest, nice and warm as long as I'm on the move. Thanks Meindl!
These are hands down some of the best boots I’ve ever put on my feet. I hiked over 20 miles the first 2 days of owning these boots on an elk hunt and didn’t have any discomfort or hotspots. Love my Meindls.
I don't typically write reviews but had to on this one. This was my first try on Meindls. My first experience started out a little bumpy as I needed to return another model of Meindl boots that just didn't suit my feet. Unfortunately, I had worn them hunting a couple of times only to discover that there was an ongoing issue. Sometimes a particular model of boot just doesn't suit you even though they are very high quality boots. I was fearing my first Meindl outing was going to be a bust but took a shot at reaching out to customer service even though I had worn them in the field. The Meindl customer service team was beyond amazing and reached right back out to me directly via phone to take care of it. We exchanged for the Comfort Fit Hunter 400 boot. Wow, what a difference for me. I can honestly say these are the most comfortable, stable and sturdy pair of hunting boots that I've owned. And I've owned a lot of them. Thanks, Meindl! (particular thanks to Dan who was incredibly helpful and proactive in the process of getting me into the right boots...)
Love my new boots. If they last as long as my other pair of Meindl boots did I'll have them until I die of old age.
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
