Review Meindl's size guide below to identify the correct size of boot for your feet.

A precision-fit alpine hunting boot for backcountry elk, sheep, and mountain hunters who need the personalized comfort of MFS System technology combined with the torsional control and technical performance that serious high-country terrain demands.

The MFS Glockner GTX is built for hunters who push into demanding alpine terrain and need a boot that pushes back just as hard. Technical mountain country. Backcountry elk and sheep hunts where the approach is steep, the ground is unforgiving, and every piece of gear either earns its place or costs you. This is an alpine hunting boot engineered to perform when the mountain demands the most.

The MFS System is what makes this boot exceptional from the first wear. Memory foam technology conforms to the unique shape of your foot over time, creating a personalized fit that reduces pressure points and builds long-term comfort on the kind of multi-day backcountry hunts the Glockner GTX was made for. Paired with a stiff C flex rating, it delivers the torsional control and lateral stability that technical alpine terrain requires. The combination of a boot that fits like it was made for you and performs like it was built for the mountain.

At 9.5 inches tall, the Glockner GTX provides the ankle support and coverage that serious alpine hunters need when the terrain gets steep and the footing gets unpredictable. DiGAfix® lacing wraps your foot and ankle with a precise, consistent hold that stays secure through long descents and switchback climbs alike. Gore-Tex® waterproof lining keeps moisture out across wet rock, snow, and the variable alpine conditions that mountain hunting consistently delivers, and the Vibram® outsole provides the dependable traction that experienced alpine hunters trust on technical ground.

Built on a standard last with a durable nubuck leather upper, an Air Active insole for long-term underfoot comfort, and handcrafted in Germany to Meindl's exacting standards, the MFS Glockner GTX is a non-insulated, all-season alpine hunting boot built for hunters who take the hard routes. Because that's where the best hunting is.

Sizing Guidelines

If you’ve never worn this boot before,
Our recommendation is to order half (1/2) a size down from your Brannock measurement or current U.S. size. Click HERE to find your Brannock measurement.

If you have worn this boot before,
Our recommendation is to order the same size you’re currently wearing.

"Treks above timberline demand serious footwear, yet hunters shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort on hunts that require lots of changes in elevation. With tall, stiff shafts and a full rubber rand surrounding the durable full grain nubuck leather uppers, the Glockner guards feet and ankles against off-trail hazards, uneven ground and loose, rocky terrain."

If you have never owned Meindl boots, you should try them. I have a pair that I wore in Oregon for work in the Cascade mountains that are 6 years old and still have a lot of life in them. I chose this pair to try since I dont need called calked boots in Michigan. They are awesome. I highly recommend! I had to call Meindl USA with a question when placing the order. They promptly got back to me and helped me with my order. Dont hesitate, these boots are great. German quality and you will know it when you wear them. Thank you!

Well built boot...fit and comfort concerns

Built with care. Rugged with quality materials.

My work is in the logging industry in mountains of the western United States. The fit for my feet, which are thin and therefore a bit bony, has produced discomfort that compromises full enjoyment. It is my opinion that a boot should be "neutral" on the foot not drawing undue attention. Thank you.

    Comfort out of the box

Very comfortable from the beginning. Plenty of room in the toe box. Just the right amount of stiffness and rock in the step.

    Comfortable but…

First off I have owned many Meindl boots from the perfects , the logger lineman x3 and the comfort hunters and have loved the boots. The glockner boots are very comfortable but the rubber that protects the leather started peeling within two weeks of wearing them .
