In a nut shell I've purchased four pair of these over the past several years. I break a pair in usually wearing them 3-4 times on road trips or what have you. That pair gets set aside for hunting only. My first two pair were a cabelas/meindl version. With lots of tread left on the soles both pair of those the soles eventually came apart. I am having a cobbler put new soles on one of those to try( $125 ). My 3rd pair I had saved for hunting and just started wearing those for every day use cutting firewood, logging and what have you. They are like new and the toe cap started peeling back. Called Meindl and ordered another pair for my Adirondak hunting only. Talking with the tech on the phone and told him about my issues with these and he offered a free small sample of glue to fix myself and he would give me free shipping on the new pair I ordered. I did fix myself and hopefully they stay together. These boots are a 5 STAR all day long but here is why I gave them a four. First off if you a paying $350 on a pair of boots free shipping should be included, period! As far as the glue I got sent, it's $7 bucks on amazon. With my loyalty to Meindl buying Four pair of these boots over the past several years you would think the salesman would of offered up like 25-50% off the boots I just bought and not thrown me a package of glue and said fix it yourself. I will continue to buy Meindl boots. The cork inserts are a game changer as well. I buy these for my muck boots too. Hopefully…
My 20 year old Meindl boots from Cabela's finally gave up the ghost after many years of hard hunting. Was disappointed I couldn't find Meindl anymore, The a miracle MeindlUSA! Spoke with knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful representatives on several occasions. Finally pulled the trigger. Love the new boots. Very sturdy and applicable to mountain hunting. Looking forward to years of service just like my old Meindls.
I got these boots for my husband and he says they are the best boots he has ever worn.
So far, so good. Great sales representatives, service, shipment, and return problem (wrong size) and reissued pair !
Best boot ever my feet are happy 😆
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
