An everyday light hiking boot for regular outdoor users who want the personalized, progressive comfort of MFS Vakuum® memory foam technology in a lightweight, waterproof package built for daily trail use and all-purpose outdoor activity.
The MFS Vakuum Light Hiker brings Meindl's signature memory foam technology to the everyday hiking and outdoor category, making the personalized fit of MFS Vakuum® accessible in a lightweight, versatile package built for regular use. If you've been looking for an everyday hiking boot that genuinely feels like it was made for your foot, this is the place to start.
MFS Vakuum® technology works by using memory foam to gradually conform to the unique shape of your foot over time. Pressure points disappear. Hot spots fade. The fit becomes progressively more personalized with every use, building a comfort level that off-the-shelf boots simply can't replicate. In a lightweight everyday hiking boot designed for regular wear, that progressive fit improvement makes a genuine difference in how your feet feel at the end of the day.
At 6 inches tall with an A/B light flex rating, the MFS Vakuum Light Hiker is light and flexible enough for everyday outdoor use, morning walks, light trails, errands, whatever the weather brings. Gore-Tex® waterproof lining keeps your feet dry across the wet conditions that everyday outdoor life involves, and the Meindl Multigrip sole delivers confident traction on the varied surfaces that versatile hiking covers.
Built on a standard last with a waxed nubuck leather upper, Air Active insole, and handcrafted in Germany to Meindl's exacting standards, the MFS Vakuum Light Hiker is the everyday boot that gets better the more you live in it.
No intentionally added PFAS chemicals.

"Made for springtime treks and summer overnights in the backcountry with the perfect blend of support and comfort. From the first lace-up, these hikers wear like your favorite, broken-in boot. If you’re looking for one pair of everyday hiking boots, you’ve found your match."

This is my second pair of these boots. I work on concrete inside and out and have not found a better boot. The last pair I wore 5-6 days a week for 2 years . Very pleased
I have had three pairs of meindl walkers, two pairs of meindl chukkas, and now a pair of light hikers spanning many years. One pair of walkers and the new light hikers are still in use. Every pair I have owned make my feet happy even after walking all day. FANTASTIC footwear. The light hikers are the same very comfortable.
Thanks for your wonderful products.
I have worn ******* light hikers for years and just now bought a pair of the vakuum light hikers. I love these so far!
Love the quality of these boots. Very comfortable fit and well made. No break in period needed for me. They were comfortable from the second I laced them up.
Very comfortable out of the box.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
