Meindl's most extreme cold-weather boot for ice fishermen, cold-weather hunters, and serious winter outdoor workers who face sustained sub-zero temperatures and need a -31°F rated boot with Gore® insulation, genuine sheepskin, and Gore-Tex® protection.
The Nordkap PRO GTX Winter Boot is Meindl's most extreme cold-weather boot, built for the conditions where most winter boots reach their limit and keep going. Rated to -31°F, designed for deep winter conditions, and purpose-built for the combination of stationary and active cold-weather use that ice fishing, extreme cold-weather hunting, and serious winter outdoor work demand. If you've ever had a winter boot fail you in the cold, this is the one built so that doesn't happen again.
The warmth system is what defines the Nordkap PRO. Gore® insulation provides active warmth management that keeps feet protected during demanding cold-weather output. Genuine sheepskin lining adds the temperature regulation that synthetic materials approximate but don't match at the extremes. Together in an 11-inch boot with Gore-Tex® waterproof lining, they create a warmth system designed for the kind of sustained exposure that a -31°F rating demands.
Mountain cowhide and mesh upper construction delivers the toughness and weather resistance that extreme winter conditions require. A B/C medium-stiff flex rating provides meaningful structural support for varied winter terrain, and the Vibram® outsole delivers reliable traction across ice, packed snow, and the challenging mixed surfaces of serious winter country. Built on a standard last and handcrafted in Germany to Meindl's highest standards, the Nordkap PRO GTX is the boot that means it when it says extreme cold.

Need half size bigger then regular size . Wishing for EE as available in other boots
I always struggle with cold feet based on poor circulation. I have all the current Muck-type boots and the best pack boots from various companies, all of which are better than insulated leather boots but still don't keep me warm when sitting. These boots from Meindl are the first and only boots that keep my feet warm no matter the temperature. I've worn them deer and predator hunting sitting for several hours in temps from 10-25 degrees and my feet have been perfectly warm.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
