"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."
Fit and feel great! Replaced my 12 year old pair made by Meindl from a big box outdoor store. Size remained as true now as then and great to hike in.
I have been looking for new hiking and hunting boots for about a year now. It seems most manufacturers don't make boots for the 13 wide foot that are actually wide and actually size 13. I finally found boots made for large men with big feet. I received my boots a week and half ago and put 40 miles on them so far. They are the most comfortable stable boot I have ever worn, and I have worn a lot of boots in my 60 years. I have been hiking up and down steep and uneven inclines to see if my toes would smash into the front of the boot or if my feet would roll when side hilling. I never got a sore or blister. The only warning. Don't expect your boots to weigh 3 1/2 pounds a pair if your feet are 13 wide. It takes about a pound more material to make them. Mine are approx. 4 1/2 pounds. Great boot.
Great Boots
Love them, never had a more comfortable boot, fit is excellent. After years on first pair, I just had to have another pair. Walked many miles in first pair on flT ground, in the Rockies, and in wetlands. Thanks for having such quality footwear.
Even though I've just starting wearing my boots, I can tell from the way they feel that they're significantly more comfortable than anything I've had before - especially when walking over rough and slippery terrain.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
