Everyday Boots For Everyday People

You've heard of EDC, meaning everyday carry, the essentials you don't leave home without. Well, these are everyday boots. Think upland, pronghorn, mule deer, tree stand hunting and more. Trail, off-trail, rocky, grassy, timbered, open, dry, wet, snowy - these are your boots. And the fact they deliver on the promise of light weight (only 3 lbs. per pair for the uninsulated version.) adds to their every-day, every-season, every-hunt appeal. You've heard, and felt during long days in the field, that every ounce on your feet is like carrying an extra pound on your back. Meindl takes that to heart. Looking at EuroLights in the box, you don't expect such full-featured boots to be so light. And if they're surprisingly light in your hands, wait 'till you lace them on your feet. Light but tough, they feature 9" waxed full-grain Nubuck leather uppers (and reinforced toe cap) to stand up to use and abuse in the gamut of field conditions. A Gore-Tex® waterproof, breathable liner keeps water out but lets perspiration vapor escape. Flex-Zone Venting, a series of strategically placed vents in the forefoot, allows the boot to breathe and move naturally with your feet. Flex-Zone in the Achilles areas enhances your natural stepping motion while a high-performance polyurethane midsole and Air Active insoles provides cushioning and support. And you'll appreciate the over-sized gusset that opens wide for easy on and off; no more struggling to pull them on at the start or kick them off at the end of the day. The Meindl Duo-DUR III Sole, with aggressive multi-directional lugs, provides traction and stable footing on a variety of terrain types. Every day, every man, every woman - these are your boots. Also available in an Insulated and women's model. Available in an Insulated and women's model. Made In Europe.

"Meindl EuroLight Hunter Uninsulated will be your new everyday boots. Noticeably light, they're my first choice for all-season hunting from dusty sunflower fields to knee deep snow. These boots feel broken in the moment I tried them on."

Great Boot - Be aware of a need to break them in

Before buying, I read other reviews where the break-in could be longer than expected. Others, had immediate fit though. Well, it took me 30 miles of trail, creek and hillside hikes to get them right. I think my foot shape is the issue here. Having owned a variety of new work & hunting boots, I always require longer time as my feet are wider than EE immediately accommodates. Combining my high arches = a “ball” shape as the top of my feet sit higher combined with the stiffness of these boots and my wider width, it was an effort. That may or may not be the reason for the longer break-in but it’s my situation. I did order 1/2 size smaller too, the length was spot on so that wasn’t the issue. Shout out to the Meindl support though! After the first 3 miles, I developed a hot spot/blister on one heel. They directed me to YouTube where there are several videos on how to lace boots to prevent heal slip. I never knew this!!

The traction is great too. Walking in creek beds with wet rocks covered with wet leaves and I was able to take lines that I normally wouldn’t. It took several hikes and lace adjustments to dial these in but the lace system holds and the new tie method works. These may be the last hunting boot I purchase.

Primary use is upland pheasant & quail hunting.

Prepare to do a LOT of break in.....

I purchased these with high hopes. I LOVE my Vakuum Hikers - they have been comfortable, dry (as long as they were treated), and VERY tough. But ultimately they didn't work as well as I wanted for upland hunting mostly because they are too short. So I tried the EuroLight Hunter. I have worn them for about 15 hours upland hunting and hiking, and they are just now feeling mostly comfortable. They were certainly NOT comfortable out of the box. They are extremely warm - almost too warm for uninsulated. At the end of the day my biggest gripe with these is they are just too stiff. The sole is stiff, and the uppers are very stiff to the point you can't cinch them down on your feet. The certainly seem very well built and tough. Not so much a gripe about the boot as they way Meindl USA describes them which I do not feel is accurate. Nice boots, but at the end of the day I wish I had gotten something else.

Not built for NV chukar hunting!

I never write reviews but I will for this. These are the WORST boots ever. I’m all for their MFS-Vakuum Hunter. These boots are not built for NV hunting. I do a lot of chukar hunting and these boots hurt. They feel every single rock you step on. These are worse than Danner boots. Don’t buy them. Super disappointed!!! They should be $50 not $300.

Like the boots, disappointed that there isn’t a better arch support in the boots
