Meindl combined two of its most advanced technologies into one serious pair of uninsulated mountain hunting boots. Soft foam pads and MFS Vakuum foam panels securely wrap around the feet for a comfortable, custom-like fit. To further cushion and cradle the feet, Comfort Fit fleece-covered cork footbeds conform to your soles for true custom support. Waxed full grain nubuck leather uppers form durable, flexible shells with full rubber rands wrapping around the boots for extreme protection from wear. At 11 inches high, the Comfort Fit Extreme Hunting Boots provide maximum ankle support on the steepest of inclines, while Vibram’s Multigrip outsoles keep you solidly upright. Fully weatherproof thanks to 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings. Made in Germany
Made with PFAS chemicals

"You won’t find footwear better suited for the mountains than Meindl’s Comfort Fit Extreme Hunting Boots. These boots are built for the true high-country hunter who climbs well above the timberline in search of sheep, goats and other top-of-the-mountain trophies. Tall, 11-inch shafts protect ankles from rolling on near-vertical traverses, while a durable, functional outsoles grip a variety of terrain from loose scree to heavy talus slopes."

I do not typically leave reviews, but for the cost of the boot - plus having seen this in other reviews - I figured I should just let you all know. This is the best boot for my foot from Meindl. Love it. The rand on it though has been falling off since the day I bought it. Meindl was great in their support. They sent over some product (basically enhanced shoe goop) and I fixed it myself. Fast forward a year later and the whole instep side of the rand is just falling off. You might say "Well, yea, it has been a year" but I do not think I have worn these boots 10 times now, because of the fear of knowing the rand was already fragile from day 1. I will repair again because they are great boots besides that. I just did not expect this much maintenance for the cost of the boots. Which to be clear, is steep. Everything else about the boot has been great.

I have found a great boot for work and play after years of wearing kenetrek lineman extreme . Just by the fit and feel , the craftsmeship here is obviouse. Looking forward to putting them tbrough their paces .
I was very skeptical about paying this much for any kind of boots but I am so glad I went out on a limb and took the chance!!! They are the best feeling boot I've ever had on my feet. I'm older and need a comfortable, supportive boot that will not make my feet hurt due to me having plantar fasciitis. This boot fulfills all my needs and concerns. Thank you Meindl for the quality boot!!
I own 2 pairs of Glockners and 3 other pairs . My favorite is the comfor fit my toes have room to wiggle and the boots extremely comfortable and durable.
These are the best boots I’ve ever owned. I’ve almost worn out my second pair. I hike around 500-1000 miles a year. Can’t wait to buy my third pair - all shiny and new. I’m a shed hunter so all of my hiking is off trail - through the swamps, the slush, the snow, the mud, the streams, etc. I’ve worn these ice fishing right through to the summer. They’ve been totally waterproof in ankle deep mud and freezing water even when they are years old. These are the boots in which all other boots are judged.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
