The Eldora GTX Trail Runner marks new ground for Meindl, the brand's first purpose-built trail runner, combining over 300 years of German footwear craftsmanship with the performance demands of fast, technical trail running. The result is a waterproof trail runner that feels like it belongs on your foot and on the trail in equal measure.

Gore-Tex® Invisible Fit is the technology that makes the Eldora different from every other waterproof trail runner on the market. Rather than adding a waterproof bootie inside the shoe, the approach that creates the thick, stiff feeling of conventional waterproof runners, Invisible Fit integrates Gore-Tex® protection directly into the shoe's construction. The result is a waterproof trail runner that feels as natural and lightweight as a non-waterproof shoe, with none of the heat-trapping bulk that runners typically associate with waterproof footwear.

The Vibram® outsole delivers trail running-specific grip, aggressive enough to handle wet rock, technical rooted terrain, and the slick unpredictable surfaces that fast trail running involves, without the stiffness that would compromise the shoe's running feel. At 4.5 inches on a standard last with an Air Active insole and handcrafted in Germany to Meindl's exacting standards, the Eldora GTX Trail Runner brings Meindl's craftsmanship tradition to the trail running category. The Eldora GTX Trail Runner is built for outdoor performance across trail running and fast-paced hiking, designed to deliver a lightweight, responsive feel over varied terrain. It provides immediate comfort from the first step with little to no break-in required for a technical trail shoe.

Begin by wearing the shoe for short runs, walks, or everyday use to confirm fit and adjust lacing for a secure, balanced hold through the midfoot. This short familiarization period ensures the shoe settles naturally to your foot, as it is designed for an easy, ready-to-wear feel.

From there, transition directly into trail running and fast hiking over dirt paths, gravel, and uneven ground. The lightweight construction and protective build work together to deliver a smooth, responsive ride while maintaining stability and grip across changing terrain.Any initial stiffness is minimal and typically disappears within the first few wears. The result is a versatile trail runner that feels comfortable immediately and continues to adapt with consistent outdoor use and mileage on the trail.

Synthetic materials are designed for lightweight performance and breathability, require simple but consistent care to maintain their function and appearance. After use, remove surface dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth, then allow the boots to dry naturally at room temperature.

Once dry, apply Meindl Wet Proof Spray evenly across the mesh upper, ensuring light, even coverage without oversaturating the material. This helps restore water resistance while preserving airflow and flexibility.

Allow the treatment to fully dry before wearing again, ensuring the protection is properly set into the material. Reapply periodically depending on use and exposure to moisture or dirt.
