"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."
There are times throughout the year I find I am wearing my boots daily. They offer great support and the comfort is incredible. I use these boots for work and play. Comfort Fit Hikers are great for summer camping, hiking, ATV riding and hunting in the Rookies deep into the fall and early winter. These boots are great in wet conditions and snow, either in the mountains or in town. This is my third pair. Just wish the soles could keep up with me!
Great customer service, before, during, and after the sale! I emailed with very specific questions and concerns. I got back great feedback from customer service that helped me purchase the right size boot for my foot using prescription orthotics. During my purchase I was able to contact customer service and have them include the 1/2 size shoe spacers required for my specific application. I wore the boots around the house a little bit, then went on a 4 mile hike. The boots fit great and they are very comfortable. I will have to revisit my review after 100 or 200 miles of hikes, when you really start to know how well a boot is made, but based on my last Miendl boots I would guess these are going to hold up great.
Long-term customer for the Comfort Fit Hiker boots sold by Cabela's. I went into mourning when Bass Pro discontinued the line. Fortunately, Meindl stepped up and started selling direct. Nothing fits my feet like the Comfort Fit Hikers. I can go 10-12 hours with no pain, abrasion, whatever. 5/5
These are the best, Well worth the money.
Love them, have worn meindl’s for almost 30 years
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
