Meindl's most technical mid-weight merino wool sock for serious hikers and hunters who want a feature-rich performance sock with climate control zone, shin pads, double padded heel, and anatomical right-left fit built for demanding all-terrain outdoor use.
The MT7 Mid-Weight Merino Wool Sock is the most technically specified sock in the Meindl lineup — built for dedicated hikers and hunters who understand that the right sock is as important as the right boot, and who want a sock engineered with the same attention to detail that goes into Meindl's footwear. At boot height, 3mm thick, and 3.0 ounces, it delivers mid-weight performance with a feature set that no other sock in the lineup matches.
The climate control zone actively manages temperature across the upper foot and ankle, keeping the internal environment of your boot stable during the output changes that serious hiking and hunting consistently produce. Shin pads protect against brush, debris, and the impact that aggressive terrain delivers on long days in the backcountry. The double padded heel provides enhanced cushioning and durability in the highest-impact area of the sock, and the support zone over the top of the foot keeps the sock aligned and stable throughout active use. Toe ventilation actively reduces heat buildup at the front of the foot where overheating most often starts.
Merino wool wicks moisture, absorbs odor, and regulates temperature naturally. Anatomically designed to the shape of your right and left foot and marked accordingly, the MT7 fits precisely without excess fabric to cause friction or hot spots inside your boot. Flex channels support natural foot movement, and the ergonomic fit works with the shape of your foot across the full range of terrain and activity that serious outdoor use demands. Made in Italy.
39% Merino Wool, 39% Acrylic, 19% Polyamide, 3% Elastic for a bit of stretch.
Sizes: Large (8-10.5), Extra Large (11-14)
The medium merino wool sock is well built and warm for winter use. I feel like they are a bit over priced but I had a gift card from a prior sale. I don't think I would purchase them again at $35 a pair. I usually buy similar quality socks from Kentrek but only if they have a buy one get one free sale. They are similarly priced but over priced also.
Well made, comfortable
Feel good on my feet.
Possibly the best boot socks for a day on my feet. I paired these socks with my Meindl boots for an all day hunt in OR. I thought I was wearing my bedroom slippers.
