Meindl's Best Selling Go-Anywhere Uninsulated Hunting Boot
Thanks to an innovative boot-within-a-boot design, these high-country mountain hunting boots wrap your feet stabilizing comfort. Inside the full grain nubuck leather uppers, MFS Vakuum foam panels form to the shape of your feet, ensuring a perfect fit without uncomfortably tights pressure points common in lesser-made technical boots. Special stretch Gore-Tex, waterproof linings do away with standard heal seams, eliminating yet another potential blister-forming hot spot. Between the Air-Active insoles and gripping Vibram Alpin outsoles, polyurethane midsoles push you through each step while allowing for the addition of soft crampons. Also available in a women's style Lady Vakuum® GTX. Made in Germany
"Vakuum Hunter boots will carry you to the top of the mountain in all but the most difficult terrain. While the stiff uppers provide maximum ankle support when climbing, the inner reticulated foam booties deliver a solid, foot-gripping fit and feel for comfort and stability. Uninsulated, yet fully waterproof, they’re a solid choice for high-country hunts that could take you well past the timberline and into the rocks above."
So far, the boots have exceeded all expectations.
The most comfortable hunting boot I own!
I have been buying boots from you guys for years. Eventhough they are hunting and hiking boots. I use them for work. My feet stay dry and warm. I can last 12-14 hrs a day all week long. I have brought other people to buy these boots and they love the comfort as well.
I will keep recommending you to all my people at work.
This is my 3rd pair. No reason to by another boot. The only boot Ive had that keep its waterproofing longer than a season. Not to mention the comfort is outstanding.
Hunted in these about 45 days this Fall, and now Winter, in the Northeast USA. Temps down to 5 degrees F, and just normal wool socks are fine. They are super comfortable, in fact, I won't wear anything else at this point. My street shoes (Xmas vacation travel last week) left me with plantar fasciitis in right foot, so I was concerned about resuming my early am winter treks - no problem! Their support has kept me hiking with no pain. I really appreciate the foot bed system. And I have not experienced a minute of cold, wet or foot discomfort in probably 140 hours of cumulative use. One call into Customer Service guided me in leather care, I should add.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
