"The Comfort Fit® Hunter Uninsulated boots will quickly become your most versatile boots in your closet. Whether you are elk hunting in the mountains, hunting the flatlands for antelope, to chasing pheasants. These boots will provide the appropriate flex your feet no matter the terrain and provide the support you need to fill those tags."
I'm very pleased with Meindl quality and service. This is my third pair. When the snow gets deep I switch to my Comfort Fit Extremes.
They are fine, they tend to loosen up throughout the day, but I can live with that.
I work as a forester, walking 15+ miles some days. These used to be excellent boots. When they started putting the rubber lining on the toe of the boot it ruined them. The boots are still comfortable, but the rubber start peeling off, and I can only get half the wear out of them I used to get. These are good boots for hunting and recreation, but they ruined them for working men.
Very comfortable boots right out of the box
I like the boot very much, but living in Oregon which generally has a more temperate climate, I don't need the extra height this boot has. (it is 9.25" high). However, elk hunting in the snow, the height may be an advantage. I wanted to return the boot after wearing it one day in the field, because the extra height makes the boot too warm for the upland hunting I do. However, the return policy requires I have the original tags and the original box to return the boots, items I had discarded. Note to future buyers, keep everything in the shipping package if, after wearing the boots once or twice, you decide to return them. If you don't you are out of luck.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
