These are the perfect insulated hunting boots to get you through the entire season, from opening day all the way to that first winter blizzard. The mid-height nubuck uppers provide plenty of ankle support for packing heavy loads, yet still flex with each step. Gore-Tex lined for 100% waterproof protection. Built on the Comfort Fit last, these boots have more room in the toebox, and cup the heels snugly for a near-custom fit and feel. Meindl’s exclusive cork footbeds mold to the hunter’s feet for custom support. Inside, 400-gram Primaloft Gold insulation wards off the chill. Vibram designed all-new, proprietary Multigrip 6.0 outsoles with aggressive, terrain-grabbing tread and improved lug design that keeps you upright on difficult descents. Also available in an uninsulated model. Made in Germany
"If you’ve got a pocket full of tags, you’d be hard pressed to find a better boot for all your autumn endeavors. From stalking elk and muleys in the aspens to crossing sage flats in search of antelope, the Comfort Fit Hunters will keep you going day after day until that last license is punched. True workhorses, they’re likely to become your favorite pair of footwear no matter the season."
Very comfortable, right out of box. This is my second pair and couldn't be happier. After about 15 years of outdoor use, my left boot lost its waterproofing while in deep snow for 6 hours. They are still very comfortable and usable in dry weather.
Purchased these boots for my boyfriend as a gift. He enjoys hunting and has been looking for a good pair of boots for a while. He's tried several other highly recommended brands, but none of them seemed to fit comfortably. These Comfort Fit Hunter 400 boots fit perfectly, right out of the box. Meindl was quick to ship, and the boots are impeccably made. He said the weight of the boots are great (aren't too heavy), they are extremely supportive and comfortable, and the insulation amount is perfect. 10/10 would purchase again.
I have tried several different types and brands of boots ranging from $100 - $300 trying to find a boot that is waterproof like they all say they are just to be disappointed with cold, wet feet in the field. I have been wearing these for a couple weeks hunting in rain, snow, and swamp with dry , warm feet after ! Finally a comfortable, waterproof boot with great support! My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the boots are very heavy in weight but definitely worth it!
I've worn these boots for one hunting season and I'm really impressed. They are a touch on the heavy side, but they are exactly what I was looking for to wear with heated socks. The toe box is wider to accommodate for this and they run just a smidge big. Overall, very pleased. Just hope they last!
Amazing as always! Right out the box...my feet were in heaven!! Been buying Meindl boots for 15 years. No break in. No blisters. Just put them on & off I go. Love my Meindl's!!
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments. The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.
Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device. We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
