Meindl's most legendary boot — a Norwegian Welt constructed alpine hiking boot with military cowhide leather and triple stitching, built for serious alpinists and mountain hikers who want the most technically demanding and historically proven boot in the lineup.
Some boots are products. The Super Perfekt is a legend. A staple in the Meindl lineup for generations, it is the boot that defines what Meindl stands for. Craftsmanship without compromise. Materials chosen for longevity over cost. Construction methods that have stood the test of time because nothing better has come along to replace them. If you know Meindl, you know the Super Perfekt. If you don't know it yet, you're about to.
Norwegian Welt construction is the foundation of everything the Super Perfekt is. The most demanding welted construction method in traditional bootmaking, it involves hand-stitching the upper outward before it is folded down and attached to the sole, a technique that creates an exceptionally strong, weather-resistant bond between upper and sole, and produces a boot that can be resoled repeatedly without losing structural integrity. Triple stitching reinforces every seam. The result is not just a boot built to last. It's a boot built to last long enough to become a family heirloom.
Military cowhide leather is the upper material of choice for serious reason. Tougher, denser, and more weather-resistant than standard boot leather, it handles the alpine conditions — cold, wet, abrasive rock — that destroy lesser materials over time. Full leather lining completes the picture, a natural, breathable interface between boot and foot that gradually molds to your exact foot shape over years of wear, building a personalized fit that becomes as distinctive as the boot itself.
At 8.75 inches tall with a D ultra-stiff flex rating, the Super Perfekt is built for classic alpine hiking on serious terrain. It is not a casual boot. It is not trying to be. It is the boot for the alpinist, the serious mountain hiker, and anyone who understands that the right tool for the hardest job is always the one built specifically for it. Handcrafted in Germany on a standard last with an Air Active insole. There are boots. And then there is the Super Perfekt.
No intentionally added PFAS chemicals.
I like them tough good boots
Awesome pair of boots. Very well made. I would recommend these boots to anyone who wants a pair of boots that will last for a very long time.
Just like I wanted tall hiking boots
Excellent long distance boot. They are a little heavy, but the boot is built like a panzer. With proper care, they should last a very long time. I also like that they can be resoled in the future. I wear and ordered the 11.5 D and they fit me fine.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
