The Lady Comfort Fit Salo Trail Mid is the women's everyday trail boot that bridges the gap between a trail shoe and a hiking boot, built for the woman whose days take her from neighborhood paths to wooded trails to light outdoor terrain without a planned transition between any of them. At 5.5 inches tall, it provides more coverage and ankle support than a trail shoe without the weight or rigidity of a full hiking boot.

The Comfort Fit last delivers the wider, anatomically shaped fit designed for women's feet, reducing the fatigue and pressure points that standard lasts create over regular everyday outdoor use. A cork insole gradually conforms to your foot over time, building personalized underfoot comfort that improves with every wear. Ultra-light A flex rating keeps the Salo Trail Mid feeling effortless and natural underfoot across the range of everyday trail and outdoor use.

Suede leather and mesh construction provides the breathability that active trail use demands while delivering durable weather resistance for regular everyday outdoor use. Gore-Tex® waterproof lining handles wet trails, morning dew, and unexpected conditions without slowing you down, and the Meindl Multigrip sole delivers confident traction across the varied surfaces of everyday trail hiking. Handcrafted in Germany on a Comfort Fit last with a cork insole and built to Meindl's exacting standards.

The Lady Comfort Fit Salo Mid is built for everyday wear and light outdoor use, offering an easy, natural feel from the first step with minimal to no break-in required. Designed with a Comfort Fit shape and cork insole, it delivers immediate comfort while maintaining light support through the midfoot and ankle.

Begin by wearing the boots during short periods of daily use to confirm fit and adjust lacing for a secure, balanced hold. This brief adjustment period ensures the boot feels properly set before longer wear.

From there, transition directly into everyday activity, including walking, light outdoor use, and time on your feet throughout the day. The materials are designed to flex naturally with movement, while the cork insole begins to gently mold to your foot, enhancing comfort and creating a more personalized feel over time.

Any initial stiffness is minimal and typically fades quickly within the first few wears. The result is a lightweight mid-height boot that feels comfortable immediately and becomes even more natural with regular use.

Suede leather should be cared for regularly to maintain its soft texture, natural appearance, and long-term protection against moisture and wear. After use, allow the boots to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources, before any cleaning treatment is applied.

Once fully dry, use a soft brush to gently lift dirt and restore the surface texture, working evenly across the upper. This prepares the material for treatment while helping preserve the natural finish of the suede.

After cleaning, apply Meindl's suede leather conditioner & proofer evenly across the upper. Allow the product to sit for 24 hours to dry completely and absorb into the leather. The goal is even, light coverage that enhances protection without saturating or flattening the surface.

With regular care, suede maintains its soft structure, breathable feel, and natural look while staying protected through changing conditions and repeated wear.

    My toes hurt!

    The wide "comfort" toe box doesn't deliver despite the fact that the Salo Mid is the correct size for me. My toes are always sore afte a hike. In addition the soles are hard and unforgiving, like hiking in skis. These are my first pair of Meindl footwear, and my last.

    Lady Comfort takes a bit getting used to

    Have always loved your Boots. Only negative is the extra padding around the ankles which definitely puts pressure on the ankles which I am slowly getting accustomed to.
