"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."

Meindl makes a really great product of very high quality. For construction, appearance and craftsmanship I give this boot five stars. And a similar rating for value, especially when comparing to other European bookmakers.
Like a lot of people over size 12, there’s an issue with no half sizes. I opted for the 13. I normally take a 13 wide, or in some shoes, a 14 wide. In fact, for reference the size 13 Comfort Fit Hiker is exactly the same size as my U.S.-sized 14 wide Oboz Bridger insulated boot. The insoles match perfectly. Also a 14W in Keen is almost identical in size. So these boots have a width similar to the U.S. E or EE size. Based on this and my discussion, Meindl USA recommended I go with their size 13.
Where I had an issue is similar to what another reviewer mentioned: there’s a lot of material in the lining to give it the “comfort”. That in turn takes up some of the shoe volume. With the included insoles with the cork bottoms, your foot can fill that shoe up. And if you are somewhere between that 13 and 14 in size (like me), you can’t size up a whole size because it would be too big. The 13, as built, ended up chafing the skin off the tops of my toes on both feet by rubbing against the liner.
The solution was to buy thinner insoles. If you’re on the bigger foot side and leaning towards a 14, you may want to ask them if they can ship the boots with the thinner insoles. I got a cheap pair from Keen that I swapped out and coupled with an arch support. And now…
have this same boot every day for 30 years! I work construction and it has saved my foot and ankle many times. you cannot twist your ankle in this boot. I also hunt and stream fish and me feet are always DRY! They are simply AMAZING. I wear them every day summer winter rain and snow and the usual last about 3 years. I'm 62yrs old and ordering my new pair of comfort fit hiker right now . it's kinda weird. but I'm Excited for them to arrive. Brad Bailey Nebraska
I’ve owned 4-5 pairs of these boots. Wish they would put a better liner in the heel.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
