Meindl combined two of its most advanced technologies into one serious pair of uninsulated mountain hunting boots. Soft foam pads and MFS Vakuum foam panels securely wrap around the feet for a comfortable, custom-like fit. To further cushion and cradle the feet, Comfort Fit fleece-covered cork footbeds conform to your soles for true custom support. Waxed full grain nubuck leather uppers form durable, flexible shells with full rubber rands wrapping around the boots for extreme protection from wear. At 11 inches high, the Comfort Fit Extreme Hunting Boots provide maximum ankle support on the steepest of inclines, while Vibram’s Multigrip outsoles keep you solidly upright. Fully weatherproof thanks to 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings. Made in Germany

"You won’t find footwear better suited for the mountains than Meindl’s Comfort Fit Extreme Hunting Boots. These boots are built for the true high-country hunter who climbs well above the timberline in search of sheep, goats and other top-of-the-mountain trophies. Tall, 11-inch shafts protect ankles from rolling on near-vertical traverses, while a durable, functional outsoles grip a variety of terrain from loose scree to heavy talus slopes."
I had a pair of Meindl's since 2007, they finally bit the dust. Bought these boots at the end of the season last year and never had a chance to wear them until now, after break-in and first day out the rock band began peeling away from the leather in several spots. Contacted a sales rep, explained the situation and told me to send them in and would have them evaluated. I felt that i needed a size smaller, sent the boots in and within a few days they had a new pair on the way. Received the boots, they gave me a size smaller and began with the break-in period. Boots fit like a glove, super comfortable, and so far no issues with the rock guard.
They fit perfectly no break in time and super comfortable
My 9th or 10th pair in 30 years.
This pair: Failure began during first use on hunt in northern BC. Delimitation of rubber rands started on day one. Quite disappointing.....

When wearing these boots the word quality comes to mind. They are light, comfortable, supportive, and tough. When focusing on hard hunts the last thing I want to do is worry about my feet or breaking ankles when side hilling. The 11 in height does a great job at keeping the ankles within a safe range of motion and the quark soles help keep toes from slipping inside the boot. This allows me to focus on my objective and enjoying the experience. Quality like this is the reason I see no need to buy another's boot.
Entire Meindl team was incredibly helpful in getting the the sizing correct. This has been a huge struggle for me in the past. They know feet and they know their products. Don’t hesitate to call and discuss your feet and where you will be hunting with the Meindl team. It will payoff!
In addition, the fit and finish of the boots is incredible. High quality German made boots.
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
