Review Meindl's size guide below to identify the correct size of boot for your feet.

The ultimate high country hunting boot for backcountry elk, sheep, and goat hunters who demand technical alpine performance without sacrificing the all-day comfort that serious mountain mileage requires.

The Comfort Fit Extreme exists for one kind of hunter: the kind who goes where most people don't. High-altitude sheep hunts. Technical goat country. Backcountry elk units where the trailhead is the easy part. This is an extreme mountain hunting boot engineered to perform when the stakes are highest and when there's no margin for a boot that lets you down.

What makes it different from every other high-performance mountain hunting boot is the Comfort Fit last. Most alpine boots trade comfort for capability. The Comfort Fit Extreme refuses that trade. The wider, anatomically shaped last works with the natural structure of your foot, while the MFS System provides a foundation of shock absorption and support that holds up over the kind of mileage serious backcountry hunters put in. The result is a boot that feels as good at the end of a long day as it does at the start.

At 11 inches tall, the Comfort Fit Extreme provides the ankle support and coverage that technical terrain demands. The waxed full grain nubuck leather upper is tough, weather-resistant, and built to handle the kind of abuse that high country hunting delivers. Gore-Tex® waterproof lining keeps moisture out in all conditions, while the DiGAfix® lacing system wraps your foot and ankle with precision and holds firm across long descents.

Finished with a Vibram® outsole for dependable grip on loose rock and scree, and a cork insole that molds to your foot over time, the Comfort Fit Extreme is handcrafted in Germany with the same attention to detail that has defined Meindl for over 300 years. Non-insulated and designed for active, high-output alpine hunting, this boot is for the hunter who demands everything and refuses to settle for less.

"You won’t find footwear better suited for the mountains than Meindl’s Comfort Fit Extreme Hunting Boots. These boots are built for the true high-country hunter who climbs well above the timberline in search of sheep, goats and other top-of-the-mountain trophies. Tall, 11-inch shafts protect ankles from rolling on near-vertical traverses, while a durable, functional outsoles grip a variety of terrain from loose scree to heavy talus slopes."

    Meindl is the best

It took me so many years to find the right boot. These boots are amazing in any condition but shine in rough steep country.

    Love them

Was nervous when I first tried them on because they creased slightly differently. Been breaking them in slowly and it hasn’t been a problem at all. Put about 15 miles on them so far and they feel great as long as I have thick socks on. They’ll probably take another 15 miles to be fully broken in. For sizing, I ordered these in a 12 and I’m a size 12 sneaker. These fit perfectly with a sock liner and medium-thick merino socks. So I’d say their half size down recommendation is perfect unless you’re going to wear thick socks, then get your normal size. For reference, I also ordered a 12.5 crispi guide and a 12.5 Solomon. Both of those were slightly too small with thick socks for me. The Solomon felt terrible in comparison. These and the Crispis are wayyyyy more comfortable for me. Kept these because they’re slightly wider at the toes and have more breathing room above the toes than the Crispis did. They just fit my feet better, plus I really like the look of the full grain leather. Definitely happy with these and looking foreword to fully breaking them in and taking them to Colorado this year.
