Think pre-season scouting, setting game cameras, checking off chores, not mention hiking. And they're great work boots too, the light weight and flexible fit helping keep you comfortable and light on your feet throughout the day. They are same comfortable-out-of-the-box boots as the uninsulated EuroLight Hunters, just in a 7-inch height. We used the same waxed full-grain nubuck leather and Gore-Tex® waterproof, breathable liner so the uppers are tough to withstand wear and tear of the field while keeping moisture out but letting perspiration vapor escape. The ingenious Flex-Zone Venting, a Meindl exclusive, is a series of strategically placed vents in the forefoot that allow the boot to breathe and flex so your stepping motion is natural and unrestricted. Further enhancement of your stepping motion comes from Flex-Zone vents in the critical achilles area. Even more comfort comes from the cushioning and supportive combination of high-performance polyurethane midsole and Meindl's Air Active Insoles. And we kept the customer-favorite wide-opening over-sized gusset that allows you to easily slip into them at the start of the day and out of them when the day is done and you're dog-tired and want to relax, not fight boots off your feet. Meindl's exclusive Duo-Dur III Sole features aggressive multi-directional lugs provides traction and a stable walking platform in a variety of terrain and conditions. Sturdy, comfortable for long periods on your feet, lightweight and reliable, everything you want in everyday boots. Available in a 9" uninsulated Hunter (EuroLight Hunter Uninsulated) and a 9" insulated hunter (EuroLight Hunter 300).
Really like the fit and weight
Loved my EuroLight Hunters and wanted to try the Hikers. Excellent comfort and fit right out of the box. They might be callled “hikers” but I wear them for everything from work and everyday wear to hunting when I have ground to cover and I want lightweight support on my feet.
These new boots are great. I never even broke them in. As an outfitter, I rely heavily on quality boots. Meindl has never let me down. I hauled both a front and hind quarters of an elk about a mile at the same time wearing these boots when they were only a week old. Not even a blister.
I had lost track of Meindl boots. I've tried several other brands and none of those others work as well as Meindl for me.
Didn't need the 9" hunter. Replaced the Cabella/Mendl Ultralight Hunter.
Not as comfortable/flexible but built much better and feels more stable.
Great grip. Same size as the old boots.
Good boot!!!
Lives up to its name and reputation
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
