It took me so many years to find the right boot. These boots are amazing in any condition but shine in rough steep country.
Pre purchase support for sizing was excellent. Pretty much the most comfortable out of box boots I've ever worn.
Was nervous when I first tried them on because they creased slightly differently. Been breaking them in slowly and it hasn’t been a problem at all. Put about 15 miles on them so far and they feel great as long as I have thick socks on. They’ll probably take another 15 miles to be fully broken in. For sizing, I ordered these in a 12 and I’m a size 12 sneaker. These fit perfectly with a sock liner and medium-thick merino socks. So I’d say their half size down recommendation is perfect unless you’re going to wear thick socks, then get your normal size. For reference, I also ordered a 12.5 crispi guide and a 12.5 Solomon. Both of those were slightly too small with thick socks for me. The Solomon felt terrible in comparison. These and the Crispis are wayyyyy more comfortable for me. Kept these because they’re slightly wider at the toes and have more breathing room above the toes than the Crispis did. They just fit my feet better, plus I really like the look of the full grain leather. Definitely happy with these and looking foreword to fully breaking them in and taking them to Colorado this year.
Most comfortable boots I have ever worn.
My only complaint is the glue holding the rubber on.

At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
