From day one, these lightweight hiking boots deliver the fit and feel that’s destined to become a daily favorite. Soft full grain waxed nubuck leather uppers resist scuffs and abrasion and backed by 100% waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex® to keep rain and dew out for a long-wearing performance. Built on a Comfort Fit last that creates plenty of room up front, yet still snugs up the heels for a stable, no-slip fit. Fleece-covered cork insoles form to the individual wearer’s feet to create customized comfort with each step. Meindl Multigrip outsole cushions and protects. Made in Italy
Made with PFAS chemicals
"Consider these your daily drivers. Whether you’re working around the yard or heading out for a hike, you can depend on them for a comfortable fit and casual appearance. Plus, they deliver on the trail as well, with flexible insoles and roomy toe box that doesn’t bind or bunch your feet heading uphill or down."
It has now been a full year since I began wearing these. The leather, outsole and even laces are still in excellent condition even after an estimated 600 (six hundred) miles, mostly on gravel/packed dirt roads and also treadmill use. It does feel a little different from my German made Comfort Hikers possibly due to the EVA midsole vs polyurethane on the Comfort hiker. Also, all my German madde Meindl boots have been 11.5, but with these Italian made ones I had to go to a 12. I took a steel tape measure and measured the indide from toe to heel on both boot and it was the same! I had expect the non- Vibram outsole t one wearing down after so many miles but so far they are looking great and I think Meindle has a very fine boot here that I would by again -possibly in a non-waterproof version which would be cooler in the summer.
The wider toe box of the Comfort Fit has been much needed for me. I would like to see more styles in the Comfort Fit in a wide width.
Good solid hiker. Lots of room in the toes snug on the heel.
My brother and I have been wearing Meindl boots for almost 10 years. My last pair was purchased in 2017 from Cabela’s - many hundreds of miles later - they are greatly worn but still useable and very comfortable. These are really light yet very solid! Getting my next pair now. Great service from Meindl too - Thank you for a great product and service!
Very comfortable and I find many shoes uncomfortable. Sizing a half size smaller was a great recommendation unless you plan on doing heavy wool sock with a liner sock under.
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
