Weighing in at a little more than three pounds per pair, these rugged leather hiking boots are perfect for keeping you in the hunt in the early season when temperatures are on the rise. Proprietary Comfort Fit system creates a roomy fit that won’t slip and combines form-fitting cork footbeds with Poron inserts to absorb shock from rough trails. Durable full grain nubuck leather uppers resist wear and are backed by 100% waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex to keep rain and dew out while still venting perspiration away from the feet. Exclusive Meindl by Vibram Multigrip 6.0 outsoles increase aggressive stability with improved lugs for descending difficult terrain. Made in Germany
"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."
Very satisfying
Excellent shoe. Would recommend it.
I've worn these boots since they were marketed through Cabela's. This is (I think) my sixth pair. No review is necessary. I wear them daily, and have for years. Easily the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn.
I just received a second pair of the same boots. First pair I got 3 years ago. The only problem I have is that the back is not ridged enough to not crush while trying to slip my heal into the boot. The outer layer and inside layer are OK, but between there is some sort of foam like layer which has become loose and bunched up on one side. This results in an uncomfortable bulge on one side of the beck and a very flimsily and thin back on the other side which just rolls over when I try to slide my heal in.

Will I buy again? Heck yes
At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
