Weighing in at a little more than three pounds per pair, these rugged leather hiking boots are perfect for keeping you in the hunt in the early season when temperatures are on the rise. Durable full grain nubuck leather uppers resist wear and are backed by 100% waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex to keep rain and dew out while still venting perspiration away from the feet. Exclusive Meindl by Vibram Multigrip 6.0 outsoles increase aggressive stability with improved lugs for descending difficult terrain. Made in Germany
"Our Number 1 pick for warm-weather hunts that don’t require the support of a calf-high hunting boot, and a great selection for pre-season scouting trips. Equally at home spring, summer and fall on everything from run-and-gun turkey hunts to stalking prairie pronghorns to long days chasing September’s bugles. Uninsulated, with tough, nubuck leather uppers and 100% waterproof Gore-Tex linings."
My Comfort Fit Hikers are about 12 years old. They've seen service in northern New Mexico (numerous times), toured the Scottish Highlands, endured a flood in the Australian outback, and survived rock-strewn coastal Croatia. Today they are just as serviceable and even more comfortable than when brand new. These are the boots to take when you can't risk footwear failure. The soles are substantial, tractive, and negate the effects of endless gravel (I walk 50 miles/week) & rocky trails. They have NEVER leaked. Their lacing system ensures the tongue always stays up and centered. There is a break-in period, but you'll be rewarded for the effort. Top quality, tough, reliable & comfortable boots can still be had. Those boots are spelled Meindl. Look no further.
The boot is actually what I expected since I own several pairs of Meindl’s . Meindl boots are the only boots that I can work on concrete all day or hike 10 miles without my feet, ankles, and knees hurting.
They are just what I was looking for.
Meindl comfort fit shoes in different models (I currently own 4 pair) is all I wear for work and hiking, I’ve been wearing them for years.
I have never found a more comfortable shoe.
Very comfortable
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
