From the very first time you lace these up, you’ll be amazed at the comfort. And after a few steps down the trail, you’ll know you’ve found the perfect lightweight hiker for spring, summer or fall. The nubuck leather uppers are soft right out of the box, requiring very little, if any, break-in time. Yet, they’re still tough enough to last for years and years. Backed with full Gore-Tex liners for 100% waterproof protection that still allows perspiration to escape. The Comfort Fit footbeds are crafted from cork that forms to your feet for a custom-like fit, and lined with a light fleece covering for extra comfort and protection. Vibram Comfort Hiker II outsoles have enough grip for sloppy terrain, yet they shed mud and gravel quickly so they won’t slow you down. Also available in a women's style Lady Meran Comfort Fit® Light Hiker. Made in Italy

"Even if you never make it off the trail, you still need a good pair of high-perfoming hikers. Whether you wear them every day or just on weekend adventures, these cradle your feet in comfort, while remaining rugged enough for wet or muddy conditions."
I have owned three other pairs and have been extremely satisfied. The same with this pair.
Great boot. Ready to go straight out of the box
It‘s my third pair of these boots! I love the material. No issues with blisters etc.. however the seams were broken on both pairs after hiking over 1000 miles. Meindl can sew them again and re-sole them.
Nice comfortable light hiker
After wearing 2 pairs Meindl light hikers,I decided to try the Meran light hiking boot this time.I put many 100's of miles on the other 2 pairs and they held up well. The new Meran's are quite comfortable right out of the box and are going to be very good for my hiking.I am 68 and I have to have a comfortable fit and these feel good.I am going to buy a 2nd pair soon for everyday wear or in case they would quit making this style.I know good workmanship when I see it and the Meindl boots are the best by far.Worth every dollar.I like the Meindl socks that I purchased also.
We want your Meindl footwear to not only fit your feet but also your outdoor lifestyle. No matter where you are or what you are exploring, it is critical your footwear fits properly. Our boots and shoes are constructed using different manufacturing techniques and different lasts (forms) which helps us tailor our boots and shoes to excel in different environments.
The construction technique and last we select to build each style can make that particular boot or shoe fit differently, even within our own line of products, which is why it is important for you to follow our fitting guidelines to get you into the correct size.Because the last and the manufacturing technique we use can change the way our footwear fits, Meindl USA gives guidance for proper fitting on each style we sell. All of our sizing recommendations are based off the Brannock measuring device, which is why it is critical to have your foot measured using that device.
We collectively have decades of experience fitting Meindl footwear to the person and activity, so our fitting guidelines come with the knowledge needed to ensure you get the correct fit.At Meindl we know that quality boots are a significant investment. That is why we are so committed to educating our customers on the best methods of care to make sure your boots continue to perform at their peak and last for years to come.
All Meindl Boots come out of the factory treated and ready for you to get out. However, if you want to ensure the boots are in peak condition from the moment you hit the field you can give them a quick treatment with our Meindl Wet Proof and let that sit for 24 hours and then apply Meindl Sport Wax.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT heat Sport Wax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather’s breathability and wearing comfort. DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Read our full article to learn how to maintain your Meindl boots from beginning to end.
